About our School

Pinnacles High School became part of the Soledad Unified School District in 1999 in conjunction
with the opening of Soledad High School. Prior to 1999 PHS was part of the Gonzales Unified
School District.

Pinnacles High School is housed at the Community Education Center. PHS consists of 4
classrooms and a staff lounge and Staff restroom There is an outdoor area which consists of a
basketball court, a shade structure, benches, picnic tables, and two student restrooms.
PHS staff consists of a Principal, Secretary, Attendance clerk, 3 regular education teachers, one
special education teacher, an academic counselor, and a Security officer. The teacher to student
ratio has a negotiated maximum of 25:1

The goal of PHS is for students to earn a “High School Diploma.” There are two strategies that
PHS staff promote. 1) Recover credits and transfer back to the comprehensive HS, and 2) Earn
all missing credits and graduate from PHS.

In addition to the main academic goal of graduation. PHS provides life skills short courses
provided by local Community Based Organizations. Pinnacles also promotes post graduation
planning by offering FAFSA assistance, CTE field trips, Military recruiters, and Career fair
opportunities.
